Terms of service

The rules for using Fan Standings. The section on supporter information matters most — when you capture a stream, you decide what is collected and published, and you carry the responsibility for it.

Agreement

These terms are between you and Fan Standings. By creating an account or using the product you accept them. If you are using it for a company, you confirm you may accept on that company’s behalf.

You must be at least 18 to open an account.

What the product does

The product records publicly visible activity from a live stream you connect, organises it into a record of your supporters, and can publish a leaderboard and an on-stream overlay from it.

It depends on activity from a platform we do not own or control. Streams can end, go private, or become unreachable, and features can change without notice. We do not promise that any particular stream can be captured or that any capture will be complete.

Not affiliated with any streaming platform

We are an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or any other streaming platform, and no platform is responsible for anything we do.

You remain responsible for following the rules of any platform you use alongside our product, including its own terms and any restrictions on how information from it may be used. If a platform tells you to stop, stop.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.

Some links we give you act as keys — the address for your on-stream overlay works for anyone who has it. Treat those links as confidential and reset them if they get out.

Your responsibilities for supporter information

When you capture a stream, you decide what is collected and whether it is published. In data protection terms you are the controller of that information and we act on your instructions.

You agree to use it fairly: only capture streams you are entitled to track, honour a supporter’s request to be removed or hidden, do not use it to harass, shame, or pressure anyone, and do not present anyone’s spending in a way that would embarrass or endanger them. If applicable law requires you to notify supporters or obtain their consent, that is your responsibility.

We may remove content or suspend an account that we reasonably believe breaks these rules or the law.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to access another customer’s workspace, data, or private links.
  • Do not probe, scan, or overload the service, or work around its limits.
  • Do not resell or redistribute the service without our written agreement.
  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to build a profile of someone for harassment.

Plans and payment

There is a free plan with the limits shown on the pricing page. Paid plans add capacity and are billed for the period stated at the time you subscribe. Prices and plan limits can change; we will give you notice before a change affects what you already pay.

Where we offer a paid plan, fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. You can stop or change your plan at any time, and the change takes effect as described at checkout.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of it. Where we plan significant downtime we will try to tell you in advance.

No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the data captured is accurate, complete, or suitable for any decision you make with it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or lost goodwill, even if we were told such damage was possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable losses if a third party brings a claim against us because of how you used the service — in particular how you collected, published, or acted on information about your supporters.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that creates legal risk, or that we are required to act on. When an account closes we delete its data as described in the privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; we will change the date at the top and tell account holders about significant changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of our principal place of business, and disputes will be handled by the courts there.
